Open Source OSes

There are so many great operating systems freely available on the Internet. These "Distros" will run on almost any old PC or Mac. Some of these "Distros" are specifically designed to run on older systems. Hence, taking what was once an out of date machine and turning into a handy useful appliance again. These Operating Systems keep hardware technology in use for a much longer periods of time. Not to mention they make great simple game consoles for the kids or guests.
